I have never had the opportunity to see a badger in real life, but I've always thought they were amazing creatures!

Interesting Facts:

  • The American Badger is the only "New World" badger.
  • American Badgers, unlike other carnivores, catch most of their prey by digging.
  • Badgers live in burrows called, "setts."
  • They have excellent hearing and sense of smell, but their eyesight is not very good at night despite being mostly nocturnal.
