Determination was my very first raptor portrait. She's a beautiful juvenile female Cooper's Hawk named Riot. I absolutely love the look of determination in her eyes and couldn't wait to draw her.
Interesting Fact: The Cooper's Hawk named by Charles Bonaparte in 1828 after William Cooper, who collected the specimens that were used to describe the species.
