Description

“Fisher” is an 8 x 10 inch giclée archival print of  the Graphite Portrait of an Educational Ambassador male American Bald Eagle from Fontenelle Forest Raptor Recovery. (Haliaeetus leucocephalus)

Fisher was found in Omaha, Nebraska suffering from a gunshot wound.  The injury damaged his ability to fly so he was deemed an Educational Raptor.  Fontenelle Forest was granted permission to add Fisher to the Raptor Woodland Refuge where you can visit him.

Did you know:  Due to their softer calls, movie producers choose to dub the more formidable call of a Red Tailed Hawk over the actual sound of the Bald Eagle.

Amercian Bald Eagles hold the record for the largest nests.

Bald Eagles usually mate for life and oldest recorded Bald Eagle lived to the age of 38.

Females are larger than males.

Amercian Bald Eagles only live in North America and no, despite the name they are not bald.
